granton:hub’s first ever AGM was held on 25 September, and we were delighted to see both new and familiar faces! 27 people attended altogether; and 10 new members signed up on the night (with more joining as members in the days following the meeting).
Huge thanks to Martin Avila for his entertaining and informative presentation about the work of he and his team at Kinning Park Complex in Glasgow, and also to Karl Macrae for kindly providing live music at the social event following the meeting.

Are you interested in singing for pleasure? Do you enjoy harmony singing? Would like to write songs but don’t quite know how to start? Clare Watson is a Natural Voice Singing Leader and she is offering two sets of 4-week classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Book tickets for singing voice classes. The group is open to everyone regardless of musical ability and is really about having fun singing in harmony! Weekly classes run 2-23 May, costs £4 – £16 (individual classes or 4-week course)
Book tickets for songwriting classes. You will work together on creating songs that come out of your own experiences, experiment with several musical genres and use an 8 track recorder to help our song development. Weekly classes run 6-27 May, costs £8 – £32 (individual classes or 4-week course)
granton:hub is seeking proposals from experienced Community Engagement professionals to deliver a project between now (mid-March) and June 2017.
