We would be delighted invite you to our next Granton:hub members’ meeting on Sunday 19th February, 5:30 – 7 at Granton:hub. This will be a relaxed opportunity to hear about and help shape our plans for 2023, meet other members and socialise over some refreshments. We are excited to be joined by Bows and Bridges for some musical entertainment too. An art exhibition by Claire Vanghan is also planned during the meeting.
As you may have seen on our social media, we are currently looking for a new chair to take over this position when our current chair, Jenny Green, will step down in a couple of months’ time. We have an active and passionate board of trustees, and a great team of volunteers and we’re hopeful that someone equally dedicated and enthusiastic will come forward to lead the hub into the future. If this is a role you’d be interested in, or if you’d like to discuss getting involved in the running of the hub in another way, please get in touch via chair@granonhub.org.
2023 is looking like an exciting year for Granton:hub. We are delighted to have recently recruited a development worker to lead on our ‘Filling the GAP’ Granton Archive Project, funded through the Creative Community Hubs. You will hear more about this project at the meeting.
If you’re not already a member, this meeting is a great opportunity to become one. Granton:hub membership is currently free, and open to all those living in EH4, EH5 and EH6 postcode areas. Membership gives you voting rights at our meetings and AGMs. As a board we are hoping to grow our membership, and create more opportunities for our members to shape and be involved in the work of Granton:hub.
Please come along to the meeting to find out more, and spread the word to anyone else who may be interested.
