The history group at granton:hub is planning a heritage event during the weekend of 11-12 September to recruit new volunteers and raise local awareness. We will also host a complementary ‘Art in Granton’ exhibition giving artists an opportunity to sell their locally inspired work immediately to visitors, similar to a commercial art gallery.

Due to limited space we can only accept artworks which use the Granton area as its main focus. Check the Curious Edinburgh walking tour for more details on the twenty tour stops in the local area http://curiousedinburgh.org/granton-tour/ covering industry, the harbour and local history.

Artists who are interested should send an e-mail before 20 August to artingranton@grantonhub.org and attach 1 image of each work (maximum 3), including the following details: (1) the title (2) the medium used (3) full sizes and (4) price of each work.

Please note we have a preference for work which has been framed or is ready to hang. 

If we do have to make a selection of artworks due to oversubscription then you will find out end of August if your work can be included.

Each work sold will be subject to a 20% commission.  There is no submission fee. Handing in of all work will be 4 September, times to be confirmed.
