A huge congratulations to the School of Ancient Crafts and the team of volunteers who contributed to the experimental archaeology project of the construction and launch of the Iron Age Log Boat. The log boat was named Dòbhran and she was launched in Granton Harbour on Sunday 20th June after nearly 3 years since the project’s beginning.  Dòbhran is starting to enjoy the water of the Forth and you can view her in the Granton Harbour.

View the gallery below to see her journey from the granton:hub community garden via trunk and crane and then onto her voyage on the Forth.
