Do you know a child who would like to take part in a FREE art workshop, local walk and beach clean-up?

We will be hosting a FREE two hour artist led workshop for local children on Sunday 27th June 10.30-12.30. In the workshop children will make prints of sea creatures on sheets of recycled plastic.

In the lead up to the workshop, we will be asking the families taking part to collect plastic both at home and on a led walk along the Curious Edinburgh Granton tour and beach in mid-June.  This plastic collected will then be turned into sheets and these sheets will then be printed on during the workshop on Sunday 27th June.

The artwork created during the workshop will be showcased at the Recycl-age Art Exhibition taking place at granton:hub between the 9th-11th July, as part of the Coastal Knowledge and RSE Young Academy of Scotland in the Edinburgh Science Festival, funded by The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh University Local.

Take a look at the event in the Edinburgh Science Festival programme below.

Places are limited for the workshop, so please contact Toni for more information and to book a space by emailing community@grantonhub.org

Please note: children must be age 8+, accompanied by parents or guardian and live in the Granton/Pilton/Newhaven area.
