Iron Age Logboat at granton:hub community garden

Do you like woodwork? What about woodwork with iron age tools? How about carving an ancient logboat?

granton:hub, in collaboration with The School of Ancient Crafts, is setting up an experimental archeology group with Madelvic History Group in Granton.

We are now recruiting a team of volunteers to take part in a community project to make a replica Iron Age logboat in the garden at Madelvic House.

This hands-on opportunity will require enthusiasm, practical skills and a willingness to pass on skills to young people in the community.

The group will meet every weekend, for four months between April and July 2018.
