Did you know that one of the world’s first electric cars was built right here in Granton over 100 years ago? To celebrate Granton’s historic connection with electric vehicles, come along to Madelvic House for the Madelvic Electric Car Rally on 22 October.
Electric vehicles from Western Nissan, Edinburgh College and others will be on display in the car park next to Madelvic House and United Wire from 11am – 12:30pm, before setting off as a convoy to the Electric Bus Museum in Fife.
You’ll be able to find out more about the vehicles themselves as well as visiting Madelvic House and the history:hub archive, which includes the ‘From The Past to the Future’ exhibition.
