Hello, I’m James. I have been practising yoga for four years, initially trying a class in the hope of redeveloping hamstring flexibility lost to years of cycling and running, but soon discovering the all-round benefits to both body and mind that a regular yoga practice brings.
I completed my RYT-200 training at Centered Yoga in 2016 in the Ashtanga vinyasa lineage of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, studying pranayama and asana with Paul Dallaghan in the Kaivalyadhama school tradition of Sri O. P. Tiwari, as well as anatomy and physiology with Arielle Nash. Other influential teachers include Elonne Stockton, Amy Arman and Natalie Barling.

I try to teach in a fun and adaptable way. My teaching method is rooted in the Ashtanga primary series including other postures, modifications and sequencing to create individual classes suitable for private and small group lessons. There is no strength or flexibility requirement in order to begin practicing yoga; just an earnest commitment to go fully and deeply into your practice.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat.
